Britain's Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will star a nine-day tour of Europe today (15.03.10).
The royal couple - who are set to visit Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic over the next nine days - will arrive in Poland today (15.03.10) for the start of their trip to promote Britain's relations with the former Communist states.
When they arrive in Warsaw, the couple will be greeted by Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, who will host a state dinner for the royals.
They will also visit the museum dedicated to Father Jerzy Popieluszko, a Roman Catholic priest killed by Communist police in 1984.
In a statement, Clarence House said: "The visit reflects the importance which the Government places on its relationships with its central European partners, two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
"The themes of the tour include highlighting co-operation on environmental and heritage protection, the military, faith and minority communities, culture and youth employment."
The prince has previously made three official visits to Poland and Hungary, whereas the duchess has made only one formal trip to Poland.
