Britain's Zara Phillips is trying not to think about competing at the Olympics.
Zara - who is Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter - hopes to win gold in the equestrian event at the 2012 Games, but isn't thinking about it too much at the moment in case she jinxes herself.
She told Britain's Hello! Magazine: "To be honest I haven't even thought about it. At the moment I'm having a bit of time off before next season when I have a huge amount going on."
The 28-year-old royal - who was announced as one of five riders for the British equestrian team at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, but had to withdraw after sustaining an injury during training - has put pressure on herself to take home a gold medal because last time she was unable to compete.
She said: "Having been so close to competing at the Olympics and then not being able to be there, I am consciously taking one season at a time. Besides, it's still a long way off! "
The horsewoman didn't always know she wanted be an equestrian rider, and it was probably only because of the family she was born into that she was around the animals so much.
Zara - whose mother is Princess Anne and father is Anne's ex-husband Captain Mark Phillips - said: "I've always been around horses and my parents did influence me a lot when I was growing up. There are some people who know what their ambition is very early on, but it wasn't like that for me.
"It hadn't always been my dream to ride, although I was around horses a lot when I was younger. It was something that just developed over time."
