Duchess of Cornwall's funny handbag
Feb 12, 2010, 12:29 GMT
Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has a handbag with Queen Elizabeth on it.
Camilla Parker-Bowles decided to take a Lulu Guinness black satin bag, which features a blown up postage stamp image of the queen in multi-colour, to a charity fashion show at London's High Court yesterday (11.02.10).
Lulu, who was at the event in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres herself, admitted it was funny the duchess owned the bag she designed.
She said: "I think it shows she's got a great sense of humour. I'm quite touched."
The duchess - who is married to Queen Elizabeth's son Prince Charles - sat at a table with the event's host Rupert Everett, and chatted as models took to the catwalk.
Discussing the charity, which builds spaces for people with cancer to go and discuss their issues and find out more information, she told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "On that first visit, I was immediately struck by the sense of light and colour, warmth and space.
''Each Maggie's Centre is a beautifully designed building offering essential advice and emotional support, a sanctuary in a world where everything has been turned upside down.''
