Britain's Prince William and Harry thanked soldiers for their efforts on the frontline.
The royal princes - who met five soldiers from the 45 Commando Royal Marines as they were being treated at Selby Oak hospital in Birmingham on Sunday (07.02.10) - said they were very proud of all the work the men done, and joined in with a standing ovation.
Sergeant Paul Barrett, 35, was left severely injured after being caught in a bomb blast in 2008, losing a leg.
He told the Manchester Evening News that it was such a treat to meet William and Harry after everything he'd been through.
He said: "It was an absolute honour to meet them. The princes said, ?thanks for everything' and then told us how much they appreciated what we have done.
Harry, 25 - who served in Afghanistan himself two years ago - soon had the injured men laughing at his jokes.
The servicemen were then given a standing ovation from the crowd.
