The Duchess of Cornwall was challenged to a computer bowling game yesterday (27.01.10).
Camila - who was attending the 60th anniversary celebrations of the elderly people's charity Age Concern - visited the Church View home in Swindon where she took on 73-year-old pensioner David Rose to a game of bowling on their Nintendo Wii.
Despite never playing before, Camilla managed to win the set with only one pin left standing at the end of the game.
Volunteer Matt Stone told the Daily Mail newspaper: "She said she wasn't sure if she would be any good but she was speaking to David about how often they play, whether they enjoy it and who is the best bowler."
The Church View care home is thought to be the first to own a combined cinema and gaming projector system, with Nintendo Wii, desktop console and DVD player.
Camilla also spent time with volunteers and supporters of the charity and told them she would be telling her husband, the Prince of Wales, that he had "missed a very good party."
She said: "I know my husband would wish to join me in paying a special tribute to all the volunteers and staff who work so hard to improve the lives of many elderly people in Wiltshire and to thank everyone who has supported this 60th anniversary celebration. Thank you very much for inviting me here today. I will go back and tell my husband that he has missed a very good party."
