Paul Burrell's house dilemma
Dec 7, 2009, 11:03 GMT
Britain's Paul Burrell is struggling to find a buyer for his UK house and flower shop.
The former royal butler - who famously worked for the late Princess Diana for 10 years until her death in 1997 - now lives in America and is keen to sell his four-bedroom home in Cheshire as well the business premises next door.
However, he is yet to find any takers for either, which has left him disappointed as he wants to cut all his links with the UK.
A neighbour said: "Selling his house in England was already proving a headache for Paul, but it's been made worse by the fact he can't sell his business premises either. As hard as he tries, it seems he can't sever his links with England."
The flower shop - which bears his name - continues to be open for trade but the ex-aide wants to concentrate on his US businesses.
The source added: "Paul has a lot of money tied up in the business premises and it's obviously proving very frustrating for him that he can't cash in on his British assets."
Burrell has been accused of profiting from the death of Diana after he gave a series of interviews and wrote a tell-all book about his time working for the royal.
