Sarah Ferguson attends charity ball
Nov 30, 2009, 11:02 GMT
Britain's Sarah Ferguson defied the UK's miserable weather at the weekend to attend a charity ball.
The Duchess of York - the ex-wife of Prince Andrew - had the help of an umbrella as she walked the red carpet for the glitzy event, held at the Natural History Museum in London on Saturday (28.11.09).
The duchess - who was accompanied by her 21-year-old daughter Princess Beatrice - showed off her figure in an emerald green gown, while Beatrice donned a maroon kaftan-style dress, which she teamed with a gold clutch bag.
The mother and daughter posed for photos under the covered doorway, as they arrived for the Sugarplum Ball, in aid of SOS Children's Villages.
The ball raised more than £75,000 to help build a family house for orphans in the SOS Children's Village in Chipata, Zambia.
Earlier this month, Sarah shocked partygoers at a different black tie charity ball by showing off her voluptuous curves in a tight-fitting dress.
The 50 year old turned heads with a risque low-cut outfit, which she managed to half cover up under a cropped satin jacket at the Royal Rajasthan Gala in London.
An onlooker said: "The duchess has just turned 50 but it's obvious that's not going to stop her flaunting her curves.
"Her dress is incredibly revealing and she's been getting quite a lot of attention all night."
