Prince Charles remains unpopular in Canada, a poll has claimed, after his 11-day tour to meet "as many Canadians as possible".
A survey of the country showed that the Prine's recent visit to the country with wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, did nothing to change Canadian's opinions of the royal family.
The poll showed most Canadians showed "little or no" interest in Charles and Camilla's visit - with 90 per cent saying their opinion had not changed.
The latest survey of 2,014 people also showed that Canadians wouldn't be any more impressed if Queen Elizabeth II herself had accompanied them.
It comes after a "devastating" survey before their tour showed 60 per cent of Canadians felt a constitutional monarch was outdated.
Andrew Pierce, assistant editor of Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper, commented at the time: "This is devastating, truly devastating for the Prince of Wales and he'll be very upset by it.
"If people are indifferent to the monarchy, the Queen and Prince of Wales, it's finished."
It was hoped the heir to the throne's visit to the country would change public opinion.
But the royal pair's visit was marred with problems when their arrival in Quebec sparked a riot by anti-monarchy protestors and the police.
Camilla was also criticised by animal-rights protestors for wearing furs on two occasions and they were greeted by small crowds at a number of Canadian towns.
But despite the setbacks, the couple enjoyed their official visit and participated in a range of activities including the national Remembrance Day ceremony, had meetings with soldiers and their families and toured the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics athletes' village.
