Britain's Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were spotted at a wild "hedonistic" party at the weekend - which was shut down by police.
The royal siblings - whose parents are Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York - joined over 100 revellers at the private party at a London residence, despite officers earlier calling to the house following complaints over the noise.
A friend of the Princesses said: "Beatrice and Eugenie wanted to go even though their protection officers were concerned about it."
The night attended by Eugenie, 19, and Beatrice, 21, was fuelled by hundreds of pounds worth of Veuve Clicquot champagne and over 45 bottles of vodka.
An onlooker said: "Beatrice was very low key, staying downstairs chatting to her boyfriend Dave Clarke and steering clear of alcohol, but Eugenie was really enjoying herself, she was partying hard.
"She was dancing with everyone. Lots of her pals from Newcastle University were there.
"It was a very public school crowd. Everyone was raving to electro, there were no secrets and no holds barred. It was very hedonistic and Eugenie had a whale of a time."
Onlookers said the party - advertised on social networking site Facebook - became out-of-control in the early hours with smashed bottles and glasses littering the street outside.
It was organised for US property developer Taylor McWilliams, 27 - known to friends as 'McWilly'.
Worries about the girls' security came to light last week - when Newcastle University student Eugenie lost her royal protection team on a night out.
She had to ask a policeman for help after realising halfway through her evening in the English north eastern city her security were nowhere to be seen.
The policeman radioed colleagues for assistance before taking her to the waiting guards outside an entertainment complex.
