Britain's Princess Eugenie had to ask a policeman for help after losing her two security guards on a night out in Newcastle.
The worried princess - daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson - spoke to officers after realising halfway through her evening in the English north eastern city her royal protection team were nowhere to be seen.
The policeman radioed colleagues for assistance before taking her to the waiting guards outside an entertainment complex.
Eugenie - a student in her first year at Newcastle University - had given the two security officers a plan of her night out but had somehow got separated during the festivities.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She was obviously concerned and needed to find them as quickly as possible.
"She said she had told the two officers where she was going and appeared to be lost herself.
"She had obviously given them her route for the night, but she had been unable to reach them."
Last week, the 19-year-old princess - who is sixth in line to the throne - had been visited by her grandmother Queen Elizabeth.
The monarch - along with her husband Prince Philip - met up with Eugenie at the Great North Museum in Newcastle, which the queen officially opened.
The royal party toured the £26million museum before a lavish lunch.
The princess' 24-hour security during her three years at university is expected to cost the British taxpayer £750,000.
