Britain's Prince Harry is stepping up his royal duties by laying a wreath at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday (08.11.09).
The young royal will be representing at the Remembrance Sunday service while his father the Prince of Wales is in Canada on an 11-day tour with the Duchess of Cornwall.
Harry - third in line to the throne - will follow Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in the central London ceremony to honour those who have died in battle.
The party-going prince - second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals - has been practicing his wreath laying at St James's Palace where he shares an office with his brother Prince William.
At the ceremony at the weekend the 25-year-old will wear his blue and scarlet uniform of an officer in the Household Cavalry Division.
As well as laying his father's wreath - which will feature the Prince of Wales' feathers - Harry will also pen a handwritten note remembering the fallen.
It will be particularly poignant for him and Prince William who have both lost friends and colleagues in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The queen approved of Harry - rather than natural successor Prince William - to lay his father's wreath, a move which suggests he is being prepared for more high profile public duties.
