Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were amused by mischievous children at a Canadian creche for immigrants yesterday (04.11.09).
The heir to the throne, currently on an 11-day tour of the country, laughed as four-year-old Cendresa Kelmendi from Kosovo marched up to Charles and told him: "I've seen you on TV".
The royal pair also chuckled as the prince was handed a card for his 61st birthday next week by Yara Aburamada, four, who - when asked when her own birthday was - said "tomorrow".
Charles and Camilla then toured the institution run by the Association for New Canadians in St John's Newfoundland which included classrooms and play areas.
They also chatted to students whose parents had traveled to Canada in search of a better life.
At one point, Charles admitted he had a print of the classic Second World War poster "Keep Calm and Carry On" on the wall of his office after spotting the same one in a classroom.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall later laid a wreath at a memorial in St John's for Canada's war victims before boarding a grey Canadian forces plane to Toronto.
Yesterday afternoon the royals were greeted by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty before a government state dinner last night to kick off the three-day Ontario leg of their trip.
Charles and Camilla began their visit to Canada in Newfoundland on Monday (02.11.09). It is the prince's 16th tour of Canada and Camilla's first.
