The woman photographed on a private yacht with Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik has denied claims they are romantically involved.
Lawyer Kylie Matthews was seen enjoying a glass wine with Frederik as their boat cruised around Sydney Harbour last week.
Images of their liaison were later published in Danish magazine Her and Nu, sparking speculation Frederik's marriage to Australian-born Princess Mary - with whom he has two children, Prince Christian, four, and two-year-old Princess Isabella - is in trouble.
Kylie refused to comment on Frederik and Mary's marriage, but insisting she had been friends with Mary since 1999, one year before she met Frederik in 2000.
She said: "I was just out on the harbour with friends. Mary is one of my closest friends ... we used to live together in Sydney."
Frederik was in Sydney to sail in the World Masters Games, while Mary stayed in Copenhagen with their children.
