Britain's Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton shocked cinema-goers by popping in to watch a movie.
The heir-to-the-throne and his partner of around eight years sneaked into a showing of 'The Hangover' - in which a group of men go on a stag night and wake up the following morning with no memory of what happened - in West London.
A source said: "No-one expected royalty but they acted like normal people off the street. It was dark so not many people had any idea who they were. I think they liked the anonymity."
The royal couple donned jeans and baseball calls to avoid detection.
William's mother, the late Princess Diana, was vocal about her desire for him and brother Prince Harry to have a normal life.
She often took her sons to fast-food restaurants and theme parks when they were children, insisting there was no reason for them not to indulge in normal pastimes.
It was recently claimed William and Kate will tie the knot in 2012, before Queen Elizabeth's diamond jubilee.
Royal officials are said to be concerned that William needs to be established as an individual working royal in his own right before he is engulfed in the same way his father Prince Charles was by his marriage to Princess Diana, and believe delaying the engagement announcement will give him more time to do so.
