Sarah Ferguson's aide's prison move

Britain's Sarah Ferguson's former dresser has been moved to a luxury prison.Jane Andrews - who worked for the Duchess of York for nine years - was serving a life sentence in Send jail in Surrey, England, after stabbing her sleeping fiance and battering him to death with a cricket bat.But she has now been transferred to open prison Askham Grange, which used to be a manor house, after begging the Parole Board to be moved from the harsh surroundings.An insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She is absolutely ecstatic. She knows this is the first step on her road to eventual freedom and can hardly believe it."Jane - who murdered businessman Tom Cressman nine years ago - can now look forward to weekend breaks and shopping trips.Tom's family are furious at the decision and they claim Jane has shown no remorse for her crime.His brother, Richard, said: "My family - who are still devastated by what she did - have not heard one word of remorse."However the board ruled she was sorry for the murder and can be considered for parole in just over a year.A spokesperson for the Prison Service said:"Protecting the public is our priority. Releasing long-term prisoners directly from closed prisons without rehabilitating them in open conditions is likely to lead to reoffending."
