The Duchess of York is set to write a children's book about an elephant.
Sarah Ferguson - who has already published a series of novels about Budgie the Little Helicopter - is using the animal as the inspiration for her latest book but doesn't yet have a storyline in mind.
Sarah - ex-wife of Britain's Prince Andrew - told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I am going to write a book for children about an elephant.
"JK Rowling can write about people on broomsticks and that stimulates children's imagination, but think about trying to tell a child what an elephant looks like if they didn't exist? What would that be like?
"I don't know about a plot yet. I'll have to think about it."
However, Sarah has been warned by she mustn't copy any storylines from the books by Dave McKee about Elmer the Elephant.
Klaus Flugge, Dave's editor, said: "We can't prevent her from writing about any other elephant character. As long as she doesn't copy Elmer, I can't prevent her from doing a story about elephants.
"However, David has created a lot of different episodes about Elmer and his friends. She must study them quite hard to make sure that they do not overlap."
Meanwhile, Sarah has undergone a radical diet and exercise regime in time for her 50th birthday in October.
The mother-of-two - who will star in a TV show 'Fit At 50' - said: "I am going to run along the beach at 50 and be footballer fit, not just fit fit.
"I'll be running down that beach in my small black bikini."
She is said to have hired David Beckham's personal trainer Neil Lewis to get back in shape for the occasion.
