This will come as a disappointment I know, but the Duke of York does not 'hire his own lavish private jets'. The Royal travel section at Buckingham Palace does, in conjunction with the UK Government. Members of the govt also go on these trade trips; they are not 'junkets'.
No details of the costs have been officially released, and won't be until next June. Save your 'tsk tsks' for then.

Great proof of arrogance and keep going with old heritage of Windsors from George V's time, when they cut everything, to modest dinners at royal palace during WWI and recession.Andrew cannot count - 250.000 annual income, when he will pay all his costs for Royal Lodge, minus 60.000 quits down from 250.000, he has 190.000 quits, plus this cost for electricity, meals etc and he has nothing.Don't count his daughters and their booze nights and scholarship.It is easy peasy math, but I doubt, our representative of economics and trade know how count farmer's numbers.Shame.
