Britain's Princess Anne has warned her upcoming horse-riding event will have "less loos" than past years due to the credit crunch.
The Princess Royal - who runs the annual Festival of British Eventing, which has taken place in Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire for the past 25 years - claims she will also be cutting back on food and flowers at the event due to the ongoing global financial crisis.
She said: "As it will be for everyone else running sporting events this year, balancing cost against expectations will be key.
"People will be looking at food, flowers and, dare I say it, loos. If competitors think they're going to get a drop in entry fees, they're mistaken."
Two smaller one-day events, which are aimed at younger riders, will also be affected.
Anne said the public perception that the event raked in money was inaccurate, claiming it often struggles to recoup its costs.
She told Britain's The Daily Telegraph newspaper: "People think you're making money out of these things, but it's a close run thing. We don't make enough money.
"One of the few advantages this year is that fuel prices, last year's issue, have gone down. But I'd be astonished if the same level of people will go to these things as last year.
"You've got to keep livestock off the cross-country course, often at a time of year when there isn't any grass anyway. We time our lambing specially for after the spring horse trials."
