Britain's Prince Harry has ignited another race row.
The royal - who was branded a bigot last month, when video footage of him calling an Army colleague a "p**i" was leaked - reportedly told a comedian: "you don't sound like a black chap".
London comic Stephen K Amos claims the prince made the comment at We Are Most Amused, a comedy gala night to celebrate Prince Charles' 60th birthday last November.
Speaking on British television show ?The Wright Stuff' last night (10.02.09), Amos said: "I'll let you into a secret: When I finished the show, Prince Harry comes up to me and goes 'Oh, tell me, amusing, but you don't sound like a black chap'.
"I wanted to say, in a West Indian accent, 'How am I supposed to sound?"'
Amos said he hoped the comment was in jest and that he thought Harry might have been trying to make banter with him.
Clarence House refused to comment, saying: "We do not comment on allegations about private conversations involving the Royals."
Former Commission for Racial Equality chairman Lord Ouseley said: "It is very sad that Prince Harry thinks black people all talk in the same way. It just goes to show how ill-educated members of the upper classes can be."
The gaffe comes a month after Harry was forced to apologise for his racist comments on a video made in 2006 during his final year of officer training at the Royal Military Academy in Camberley, Surrey.
He also sparked controversy in 2005 when he attended a fancy dress party wearing a swastika.
