Britain's Princess Anne will be forced to relive her terrifying attempted kidnap when a dramatization is broadcast this year.
The reconstruction of the kidnap attempt will feature in a new drama-documentary about Queen Elizabeth, due to appear on Channel Four in September.
Filming will begin on Monday (19.01.09) in Bath, south west England.
The dramatic crime occurred in March, 1974. The princess and her first husband Mark Phillips were returning to Buckingham Palace from a charity event when a man driving a Ford Escort forced their limousine to stop.
The driver of the car, Ian Ball, jumped out and began firing a gun, shooting Anne's personal police officer and chauffeur as they tried to disarm him.
Ball approached the limousine and told Anne he was going to kidnap her, asking her to get out of the car. The princess reportedly replied "Not b****y likely!" before diving out the other side of the car.
A passer-by then punched Ball in the back of the head and led the royal away from the scene. Ball shot another police officer but was eventually arrested.
It's not the first time the event has been reenacted - it was the focus of 2006 documentary-drama 'To Kidnap A Princess' and Tom Clancy's novel 'Patriot Games'.
The latest documentary - currently titled 'The Queen' - will be produced by Blast Films.
