Britain's Prince Harry has been branded a "racist" after a video of him calling a fellow cadet a "P**i" surfaced.
The 24-year-old royal - who appeared in the footage in 2006 during his final year of officer training at the Royal Military Academy in Camberley, Surrey - can be heard describing a sleeping Asian soldier as "our little P**i friend".
Harry - who caused controversy in 2005 when he wore a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party - has since apologised for the remarks.
A royal spokesperson said: "Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term can be, and is extremely sorry for any offence his words might cause.
"However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon. There is no question that he was in any way seeking to insult his friend."
The video - which was sold to a British newspaper by an anonymous solider - also shows Harry telling a comrade wearing a camouflage veil, "F**k me, you look like a raghead!".
In the film - which sees Harry smoking and wielding an army knife - the prince also jokes about his private parts with his colleagues.
Later, he pretends to kiss another male cadet and mocks his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, during a call home.
He said: "Granny I've got to go, got to go, send my love to the corgis and Grandpa. I've got to go, got to go, bye. God Save You... yeah, that's great."
The Ministry of Defence said: "This sort of language is not acceptable in a modern army."
