Britain's Sarah Ferguson has offered a reward to help find her daughter's missing pet.
The Duchess of York is desperate to track down Princess Beatrice's beloved dog Max after he went missing earlier this month.
The seven-year-old sandy-coloured Norfolk Terrier has not been seen since he chased after a squirrel in the grounds of Sarah's ex-husband Prince Andrew's Royal Lodge home, in Windsor Great Park, on December 9.
Sarah said: "Max really is her pride and joy. There will be a substantial reward for anyone who finds him."
A friend of Sarah's has played down the offer of a big financial payment, telling Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I'm not quite sure what she means by substantial but I think it means a cash reward and a letter of thanks."
Beatrice has spent every day searching for Max since he disappeared. The 20-year-old royal has even printed missing posters and put them all over Windsor Great Park in the hope that someone will recognise her beloved pet.
Sarah will not be spending Christmas with her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, 18, and the rest of the British royal family at Queen Elizabeth's Norfolk residence, Sandringham estate.
Instead, the 49-year-old will celebrate the festive season with her stepmother Sue Ferguson in Hampshire.
