Iran's exiled Prince Cyrus Pahlavi is making a movie about his grandmother.
'The Shadow of the Shah' revolves around Princess Ashraf Pahlavi, the twin sister of the country's last shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi,
Ashraf, who was dubbed "The Black Panther" by the media, supported Iranian women's rights before the 1979 Islamic revolution forced her family into exile.
The indie film is being developed by Cyrus, along with producer Edward Bass and First Line Entertainment.
Ashraf, now 88, currently resides in France after being sent into exile there. One of her sons, Prince Shahriar Shafiq, was assassinated in Paris in December 1979.
The princess played an important role in Operation Ajax - which deposed the country's governmment - as she was the one who changed her brother's mind in giving the consent to the CIA and the SIS to start the operation in 1953, after the Shah had originally opposed it.
Some Iranians view her as a traitor to Iran due to her involvement in the 1953 coup but others regard her as a patriot for the same reason.
In 1975, she was heavily involved with the International Women's Year, addressing the United Nations.
