This was funny! I was at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on Saturday night watching Billy Franks who did a phenomenal gig with Prince Harry having a great time in the balcony! The party later was at the Troubadour so I guess Harry got there early not having to spend an hour looking for a taxi like the rest of us!! Billy Franks was in the '80's band, the Faith Brothers, and was launching his new album, The Turtledove Boutique, which is an incredible piece of work. Billy is one this country's true hidden treasures and has been praised by Bono, Peter Gabriel and Oasis on his songwriting skills. Sounds like Harry had a musical treat on Saturday night!

I unfortunately missed the Billy Franks gig at the Shepherds bush empire,I was chuffed to hear that Harry was in the audience, all i can say is the guys got taste!but when you listen to Billys music and lyrics its easy to understand why! I have been a fan of Billys music since the Eighties when he was in a band called the Faith brothers. He has recently finished a movie called Tribute this which in fact in the trailer it mentions a member of the royal family being a fan, could this be Harry????????? I leave you to decide! www.tributethis.com

'H' at the TroubJun 4th, 2008 - 15:13:21

If this happened on Saturday Night, with all due respect to 'Daniel Takes A Train' who I'm sure are an excellent band, I think there's a strong chance that Harry had turned up a bit early to something that was happening at the Troubadour a little later in the evening.

Hi, was at the SBE on sat night, i'm not a Billy fan in the sense that I don't know or at least didn't know his music until recently. But the night ,atmosphere and music was great.Billys true followers more than made up for my ignorance and are now educating me ha ha .We had a great time and after travelling 400miles to get there it was so worth it. Me and my Maccam pal were invited( I think, we went anyway) to the Troubador after the SBE.Love the club anyway having been there once before to see Billy Franks ages ago.Seen Prince Harry there and couldn't believe it, being from Cumbria it's not your run of the mill event.Would like to have said I spoke to him etc. but he (in my eyes) was just a young man having a good night out with his mates bothering nobody and not drawing attention to himself or his party. Then he had few drinks spoke to Billy and left a couple of hours later.Very civilised.Unlike me and me pal.So pleased I travelled all that way .Billys fans are amazing and I hope to see you all again as soon as another night has been arranged.
Special thanks to Yvonne, you are a star!!!
