Queen Sofia of Spain has returned to the Greek island of Rhodes.
Athens-born Sofia was on her first official visit as Queen of Spain but previously visited the island as a small child with her parents, Greece's King Paul and Queen Frederika during the time of their reign.
Accompanied by Spanish ambassador to Greece Juan Ramon Martinez Salazar, Sofia was greeted by officials and the consul of Spain on Rhodes, Christina Kaili.
She then left for the town of Lindos, where Culture Minister Michalis Liapis took her on a guided tour of the archaeological site's acropolis and other notable buildings.
Later, she visited the archaeological museum and St. John's Palace, before attending a dinner in Liapis.
