The Nepalian Maoists who have admitted that their plan is to use democracy to create an oppressive communist regime have done what communists always do. They robbed the royal family of their private property. This wholesale theft amonts to millions and millions. The so-called debts are nothing compared to what the king's enemies have wrongfully done to him so far, and may yet do to him. Unfair, yes! But that is the name of the game for communists. They will institute a government of violations far worse than the monarchy ever did. They have already killed over 13,000 innocent citizens of their country in attempting the usurp and defile a fairly decent government pushed to the extreme by their atrocities. It is a very sad sad state of affairs. I feel sorry for the people. Communism is a violent, unmerciful, corrupt philosophy that has never in the annals of history ever benefitted the people of their land.

I ask WHY these various suppliers have NOT Shut Off electricity and telephone services to these delinquent, 'so-called-Royal' Family customers? They stopped paying in 2005 and it is now mid-2008 ... whereas if my bill is a month late, these services are cut.
This group of 'Royal' Thugs live in insulting, outrageous, blatent luxury while their people virtually starve, via the expropriation of the vast wealth that constantly enters Nepal’s coffers (tourism for example brings in $1US per day per foreign visitor, plus many many $1000sUS per each trekking permit & sanctuary fees). The “poverty” of Nepal is in my opinion a Myth. I see the incoming wealth never trickling down to the citizenry. We don’t even have viable roads, clean water, garbage collection, or basic health care ... not to mention equal rights of any kind. And often the teachers of the Government Schools don’t even show up for work.
“Foreign Aid” is Nepal’s joke on the world; it's extortion for the basics that royalty and government choose not to fund.
