Princess Beatrice sparked fits of laughter among train passengers recently with her poor grasp of UK geography.
The 19-year-old princess - who was returning to London on a Eurostar train following a boozy break with friends to Brussels, Belgium - became the laughing stock of the carriage when she admitted she had no idea where the Kent coastal town of Dover was.
As the train exited the Channel Tunnel and entered the southeast county of Kent, one of Beatrice's friends remarked: "We must be near Dover."
To which the princess replied: "Dover? I thought Dover was in Cornwall or Devon (counties situated next to each other in the southwest)."
A passenger told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Everyone fell about laughing. We weren't sure if she joking or seriously did not know where Dover was."
The princess' Brussels trip has fuelled Beatrice's reputation as the royal party girl.
She has recently become a regular on the London party circuit and has been seen hanging out with model Kate Moss, singer Lily Allen, and Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough.
