Britain's Prince Harry has been declared "a lucky mascot" by the victorious England rugby team.
Players have begged Harry to return to Paris' Stade de France to cheer them on in the final of the Rugby World Cup against South Africa next Saturday (20.10.07), after he watched them triumph over France in the semi-finals this weekend.
Harry - who was pictured celebrating England's victory in the stands with his cousin Peter Philips on Saturday (13.10.07) - was invited to meet the players in the dressing room after their game.
He told them: "I haven't been that excited since I was in Australia watching you win the Rugby World Cup final in 2003."
One player replied: "Well make sure you're here next week because you are obviously our lucky mascot."
Harry, 23, even missed girlfriend Chelsy Davy's 22nd birthday to watch Saturday's match.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Before the match Harry was presented with an England team shirt and instantly put it on. He even had his two protection officers wearing England shirts too.
"Now that England have surprised everyone by making the final again wild horses wouldn't keep him away."
The prince was enjoying a gap year when he was famously pictured roaring on his heroes to victory in the final against Australia four years ago.
