Chelsy Davy, the girlfriend of Britain's Prince Harry, enjoyed a three-hour lunch in South Africa, just a day after her emergency appendix operation.
The 21-year-old, who has been dating the young prince for three years, was seen at a Cape Town beachside restaurant chatting and laughing with a friend.
At one point in the lunch at the Café Bravo, the girls' conversation appeared to get serious.
An onlooker said: "The girls were having a very intense conversation and Chelsy seemed to be getting a lot of her chest."
Later on in the day, the Zimbabwe-born blonde was seen having a sneaky cigarette on the balcony of her luxury apartment.
Chelsy was discharged from a South African hospital late last week after she was rushed to the facility after suffering from severe abdominal pains.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported Harry had proposed to Chelsy.
The 22-year-old prince is said to have popped the question to Chelsy during their recent safari holiday in Botswana and she excitedly accepted.
However, the smitten couple will not officially announce their engagement for another 18 months.
A source said: "Harry and Chelsy are serious about each other and are both keen to make more of a commitment. Neither of them can imagine living without the other."
