TV chef Jamie Oliver offered Britain's Prince Charles a recipe for baking gingerbread men at a Clarence House reception yesterday (15.02.07).
Charles and Camilla invited Jamie and a host of cooks and headteachers from 60 schools to the royal residence to highlight the importance of feeding school children healthy and nutritious meals.
According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Jamie told Charles he could use a gingerbread recipe he had developed in his Duchy Originals organic food range.
The chef also said he was "very much in awe" of the good work done by the Prince's Trust charity - an organisation helping disadvantaged young people - which receives the profits of sales of Duchy Originals produce.
Charles and Camilla returned Jamie's compliments, revealing they were fans of his TV series 'Jamie's School Dinners' - which follows Jamie's efforts to improve the quality of school food.
The royal pair spent the event mingling with guests - all chosen for their efforts in educating children about nutritious food and its origins - who were served hotpot, made from organic Welsh lamb.
Charles has recently visited a number of schools to highlight the importance of good food and locally sourced produce.
