Britain's Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, says being a "good mother" is one her greatest achievements.
The 47-year-old duchess revealed she was thrilled to be named American Cancer Society's Mother of the Year and loved being a mother to daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
She said: "I can safely say one of the best things I've done is be a good mother."
Sarah also discussed how cancer prevention begins with being a good role model.
Speaking on US TV show 'This Week', she said: "They see that I go running, I get on my bicycle, I do yoga, pilates, whatever else I do.
"Do you know what they do? Get up off the sofa, turn the television off, walk to work, walk around the block, more vegetables, more fruits at school, less soda pops, less fast food."
Sarah - the former wife of Prince Andrew - was named Mother of the Year at a New York awards ceremony and her daughters sent their congratulations via video messages.
Beatrice, 18, gushed: "Let me just say, Mummy, how proud I am of you. Seriously, I think what you have achieved over these 18 years of my life has just been so phenomenal that I'm so proud of getting this award today."
