Zara's supermarket sweep
Jan 19, 2007, 13:00 GMT
Britain's Zara Phillips is set to star in a supermarket advertising campaign.
The 25-year-old royal and her horse Toytown are the face of Cortaflex, a joint supplement used to treat horses and humans, and the company are in talks with retail giant Tesco to sell the product in their shops.
The firm's managing director Phil Middleton told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "We are in discussions with Tesco to sell the product there, hopefully around mid-March, and we are thinking about using Zara for this.
"It is not a salaried position but our company contributes a certain amount to Zara's eventing and she agrees to appear in an advert for us in return."
Champion horse rider Zara, who was recently named 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year and received a royal honour for her equestrian triumphs, already appears in adverts for Cortaflex on the internet and in magazines.
Zara - the daughter of Princess Anne - also recently featured in an advert for Land Rover.
