Fergie's 10-years of weight watching
Jan 11, 2007, 13:30 GMT
Britain's Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is celebrating her 10th anniversary with Weight Watchers this year.
The duchess - who joined the slimming club in 1997 after being dubbed 'the Duchess of Pork' because of her ever-expanding waistline - confessed that maintaining her weight-loss has been a challenge.
She told America's Weight Watchers Magazine: "Throughout my weight-loss journey, I've found my greatest motivation from those who have successfully lost weight and kept it off."
"Perhaps my greatest ally was my Weight Watchers leader who coached and supported me through each challenge. Now that I've maintained my weight for ten years I want to inspire others to do the same."
The duchess also offered some advice on how other dieters can keep focused on their weight-loss journey.
Her top tips are to feed you body and soul without food; say 'no' to negativity; set healthy examples for loved ones; get support and celebrate accomplishments.
Sarah - who achieved her goal weight in December 1997 - is now an international spokesperson for Weight Watchers and she remains a Lifetime Member of the group.
