Kate's dress a sell out

A dress worn by Kate Middleton, the girlfriend of Britain's Prince William, on her 25th birthday has sold out in 24 hours.
The black and white £40 TopShop dress - which Kate was seen wearing when she left her Chelsea home in west London on Tuesday (09.01.07) - has been snapped up in every size on the highstreet fashion chain's website.
A TopShop spokesman told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Kate is not a fashion icon yet but she may become one, so it is nice to see her wearing TopShop clothes. The dress is popular because it is versatile and the whole monochrome theme is very big at the moment."
Kate - who has been dating William for four years - wore the tunic with opaque black tights and high-heeled boots.
She dressed up the look with gold bangles and a Mulberry handbag.
Despite having her style increasingly recognised by international designers, Kate - who works for fashion label Jigsaw - is not reportedly interested in becoming an ambassador for designer fashion.
Her friend said: "To be honest, it is the last thing she wants. She is definitely a highstreet girl."
Kate's style was recently described by Elizabeth Emmanuel, Princess Diana's wedding dress designer, as "understated elegance".
