Andrew's late night Love

Courtney Love claims Britain's Prince Andrew turned up at her home in the early hours of the morning "looking for chicks".

The 41-year-old rocker says the unannounced royal appeared on the doorstep of her Los Angeles home wanting to party six years ago.

She revealed to British chat show host Russell Brand: "Prince Andrew turns up at my house at one in the morning and he wants to party. He'd come to Hollywood to look for chicks. I don't know what he expected to find at my house.

"I think he thought it was going to be like a party. I had these bunny slippers on and my fluffy robe. I answered the door and he was there with a bodyguard. At one point he did ask me on the couch - I've never told this to anyone - he said, 'So what do you do all day'".

A royal spokesman said Andrew - who was single at the time after his divorce from Sarah Ferguson - met Courtney at a dinner with other people in Los Angeles.

She added: "They all went back to her house. As he does not drink he asked for a cup of tea. He stayed 45 minutes."

Courtney - the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - famously gave the prince a very public striptease at a fundraising event in 2003.

The singer stripped to her underwear and screamed: "The B***h is back."
