Fergie's jewellery launch
Nov 7, 2006, 13:30 GMT
Britain's Sarah Ferguson has launched her new jewellery range in the US.
The Duchess of York proudly presented 'Sarah Ferguson for K&G Creations', alongside her own limited edition signature collection at an exclusive Los Angeles department store on (03.11.06).
The range of rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets are made from Moissanite - a laboratory-grown jewel with the appearance of a diamond.
A percentage of all sales will be donated to the Sarah Ferguson Foundation - a charity established to benefit children around the world living in poverty or neglect.
The duchess said: "Every time you put on a bit of Moissanite from my collection, you will bring a twinkle to a child's face."
The duchess has decided to launch the range in the US because she attributes the country to "saving her life" after she fell heavily into debt following her divorce from Prince Andrew in 1996.
Sarah re-launched herself in the US as a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers, a children's author and a motivational speaker. She has also founded several children's charities.
She gushed: "The American people saved my life and gave me back my life. So it is pretty nice to be able to give back to you and help your children because my foundation is not just for Africa but for the USA too."
Prices for the jewellery line starts at $400 for a pair of earrings.
