Britain's Prince William will be attacked by an angry mob this week - for an army exercise in riot control.
The 24-year-old royal will take part in the ten-day training exercise in peacekeeping as part of his course at Sandhurst Military Academy.
William and his fellow cadets will be dressed in full riot gear as Gurkhas - Nepalese soldiers enlisted in the British Army - pelt them with potatoes and petrol bombs.
An army insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Potatoes are deemed a little safer than rocks. But if anyone suffers a direct hit, even a potato can be very painful. It is one of the toughest tests of the young cadets.
"Instructors go to extreme lengths to make the exercise as realistic as possible and they will expect several trainees to crack under the pressure."
Meanwhile, William is one of the favourites to win the academy's Sword of Honour prize this year.
The prince has shown impressive leadership qualities, commitment and stamina and is being hotly tipped to win the annual award, presented to the most impressive performer from each year of trainees.
After completing his training, William has chosen to join his younger brother Prince Harry in the Household Cavalry's Blues And Royals regiment.
