Britain's Prince Charles is publishing a new cookbook this week - detailing some of his favourite recipes.
The 'Duchy Originals Cookbook' features over 100 recipes made from ingredients produced by the prince's award-winning, environmentally-friendly company of the same name and has a foreword written by Charles himself.
The 57-year-old prince writes: "It is the context of the ongoing effort to publicise the benefits of sustainable and organic agriculture that I particularly welcome the 'Duchy Originals Cookbook'.
"For a long time I have felt that the fundamental problem with the food culture in this country has been the historical severance of the link between the consumer and the land, and I hope that the food industry will strive to heal the split."
The prince has always been a keen gardener and has long been a public backer of organic produce.
He launched Duchy Originals in 1990 and the book gives readers an insight into the work of the farmers and producers of the range.
Recipes include Duchy sausages baked in organic mustard and honey, bread and butter pudding, Balmoral honey cake, apple crumble with Highland shortbread and celery and Stilton soup.
In his foreword, the prince also speaks of his unease about the "quality of the soulless, mass-produced food that has come to dominate the modern diet."
The book is hotly tipped to be a best seller, in contrast to Princess Diana's former butler's tell-all book 'The Way We Were', which has been a sales flop since it was released last week.
