Sarah Ferguson slams Burrell
Sep 18, 2006, 14:29 GMT
Britain's Sarah Ferguson has slammed Paul Burrell for "betraying" Princess Diana.
Ferguson has attacked Diana's former butler for publishing his second tell-all book about his relationship with the princess, 'The Way We Were'.
She says Burrell has no right to reveal Diana's secrets and make outlandish claims when she is not alive to defend herself. The princess was killed in a Paris car crash in 1997.
The royal - Diana's former sister-in-law - told US TV show 'Good Day LA': "If that's how he gets his kicks then fine, but I don't think it's right to betray a person, especially when they're not here to say, 'I didn't say that, I didn't do that.'"
The fiery-haired royal also attacked the former servant for suggesting on US TV last week that Diana's sons, Princes Harry and William, were no longer "flying the flag" for their mother.
She added: "We love her. Why can't people just let her rest in peace? Those boys are great boys. Why do they keep having to hear mum things?"
In Burrell's latest book - which is the follow-up to his first novel 'A Royal Duty' - he claims Diana helped to bury her friend's still-born daughter in the gardens of Kensington Palace gardens.
