Camilla's tea break
Sep 15, 2006, 15:49 GMT
Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, sheltered from the rain in a potting shed yesterday (14.09.06), during her visit to an urban allotment in Cheshire.
Camilla - the wife of Prince Charles - decided to wait out the passing storm by enjoying a cup of tea in the hut with gardener Eugene Mitchell.
Mitchell, who maintains the allotment with his wife, Susie, says he discussed organic gardening with the duchess, an interest Charles also shares.
He told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "It is clear she is very hands-on and knows what she is talking about. We discussed the huge difference in taste between fruit and vegetables bought in the supermarket and home-grown produce.
"She was impressed with what we are doing here and said it was important to teach children about healthy eating."
Camilla then visited Reaseheath Agricultural College, in Nantwich, where primary school children had planted an award-winning vegetable garden.
Pupil Josephine Edwards, 10, said: "I told her my favourite vegetables were carrots, broccoli and cauliflower and she said I should keep eating them so I don't have to visit the doctor."
