Prince Charles and Camilla 'to visit Pakistan'

London - Britain's Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, are planning a visit to Pakistan at the end of next month, London's Evening Standard newspaper said Wednesday. The travel plans were not officially confirmed Wednesday by Clarence House, the London residence of Charles, who is heir to the British throne. Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, whom he married in April, 2005, visited India in March this year. However, the Standard said that the considerable threat from terrorism and sectarian violence would have to be taken into account with any Pakistan trip. 'For security reasons, we can never discuss the location of tours. We're not going to comment,' a spokesman for Clarence House said. It would be the royal couple's third official joint tour together, following trips to the US and a tour of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India. © 2006 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur
