Burrell blasted over comments

Paul Burrell, the former butler of Britain’s Princess Diana, was attacked on live TV for attacking the late royal’s sons. The ex-servant was had been appearing on British daytime TV show 'This Morning' to discuss his new tell-all book 'The Way We Were' yesterday (11.09.06).Hosts Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton quizzed Burrell on his recent comments made on US TV that Diana’s sons, Princes William and Harry, were not keeping their mother's memory alive.The two presenters said his remarks would have been extremely hurtful to the princes, who have always refused to discuss their mother’s tragic death in a 1997 Paris car crash.Burrell replied: "I did not attack them. I did not say anything bad about William and Harry. I would not do that, I have two boys of my own."Schofield also accused Burrell of cashing in on Diana's memory and admitted he was finding it hard to be nice to him.The presenter said: "It would appear you were her rock, but now she is your pension."The butler's latest book has caused huge outrage and criticism, with one royal commentator branding him "the lowest of the low."(C) BANG Media International
