Prince William visits 'marital' home
Aug 17, 2006, 15:48 GMT
Britain's Prince William and his girlfriend have made a visit to what could be their future marital home.
Harewood Park House, in the rural English county of Herefordshire, is being rebuilt by Prince Charles' Duchy of Cornwall estate and is due for completion in 2010.
Rumours are rife if Williams decides to tie the knot with girlfriend Kate Middleton the house will be their residence. Daily Mail journalist Richard Kay has quoted a resident of the area as saying: 'William has told farming friends in the county that he wants to settle at Harewood Park. He goes to shooting parties nearby and knows that the estate offers him lots of privacy.' Kate has taken a keen interest in the rebuilding of the country house which had to be demolished in 1959 after it fell into such a bad state of disrepair. Kate, 24, has a genuine interest in architecture and interior design, and has had more time to visit the estate since the launch of her children's clothing business was delayed. The house will be finished in 2010, the year that Prince William celebrates his 28th birthday. He has previously stated he does not want to get married until he is 28. The couple's recent visit to the estate has further fuelled rumours that they are to marry.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
