Prince William's pranks
Aug 17, 2006, 15:48 GMT
Britain's Prince William is a practical joker, a royal writer has revealed.
William, who is second in line to the throne, apparently loves playing tricks on his friends and family and even his brother Harry has fallen for his pranks.
In his book 'Behind Palace Doors' Queen Mother's former aide Colin Burgess lifts the lid on the 24-year-old royal's cheeky antics. One prank involved William telephoning his brother and pretending to be Harry's furious girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, after he spotted his younger brother going to a lap-dancing club with some of his fellow soldiers earlier this year. On another occasion, William - armed with a powerful water-gun - soaked his friends at Sandhurst Military Academy during a late-night raid. The 24-year-old royal is also said to be excellent at performing magic tricks and has spent years practicing juggling. Bugess wrote: 'I taught him the art of juggling myself. He was very keen and a quick learner. 'William used to love magic tricks too. But I can't recall him ever doing it in public. It's a shame, because he is really quite good.' It appears William might have inherited his cheeky side from his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. It was recently revealed the British monarch loves to play tricks on her guests by serving them dog biscuits.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
