Princess Beatrice's ex-boyfriend trouble
Aug 16, 2006, 12:49 GMT
Britain's Princess Beatrice angered her mother by pursuing her bad boy ex-boyfriend.
The 18-year-old princess was dining with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and sister Princess Eugenie, at a swanky New York restaurant when she spotted her former lover Paolo Liuzzo.
Paolo, 25, who is currently on probation for assault and battery, arrived at Nello Summertimes eatery with a stunning brunette and sat down at a near-by table.
Despite her mother's pleas to ignore him, Beatrice walked past his table several times, before reportedly approaching the couple for a chat. A fellow diner told the New York Post newspaper: 'Beatrice got up several times and walked past him and his lady friend. Then she went over to say 'hello', and they began chatting. 'Then two royal secret service men quickly got up to go over and stand by them.' Beatrice reportedly got into an argument with her mother when she started dating Paolo when she was just 17. Following the row, the young royal is said to have ended the brief romance and assured her mum she was not going to contact Paolo again.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
