Diana's love nest sold
Aug 1, 2006, 15:12 GMT
A luxurious holiday compound where Britain's late Princess Diana met her lover Dodi Al Fayed is being sold for £40 million.
The four-acre estate, in the South of France, has been put on the market by Dodi's father - Harrods store boss Mohammed Al Fayed.
According to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, the business tycoon has hired estate agents Knight and Frank - who have previously worked with the Beckhams and Joan Collins - to sell Castel de Ste-Therese. It was at the estate that Diana and Dodi first met and their romance blossomed. The pair were tragically killed in a Paris car crash in 1997, the ninth anniversary of the couple's death takes place this month. The Castel de Ste-Therese boasts a helipad, several swimming pools, garages for up to 50 cars, landscaped gardens and a small nightclub. Mohammad Al Fayed reportedly decided to put the exclusive property on the market, after selling his son's Paris apartment - where Dodi and Diana were set to stay on the night they were killed. He has, however, preserved Dodi's luxurious apartment in London's Park Lane, where he and Diana stayed on regular basis.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
