Harry's girlfriend shows support
Jul 25, 2006, 14:19 GMT
The girlfriend of Britain's Prince Harry braved the rain to watch her royal boyfriend compete in a charity polo match.
South African student Chelsy Davy accompanied Harry's father, Prince Charles, to the event held at Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucestershire on Saturday (22.07.06).
When torrential rain started pouring down the pair sheltered under an umbrella as they watched the 21-year-old prince lead his Army teammates to victory against the Wild Boars. The match raised funds for The Prince Of Wales Hospice and Sentebale - the charity Harry set up to help AIDs orphans in Africa. Chelsy happily mingled with Harry's friends on the sideline, including Guy Pelly and James Murray Wells, and later chatted with a mother and her young baby. After the game, the victorious prince was photographed popping into a near-by supermarket with friends wearing his dirty trousers from the match, a baseball cap and a t-shirt sporting an image of Che Guvara. One onlooker said: 'When Harry appeared at the supermarket with his friends, he looked really scruffy and had mud all down his trousers. 'When one assistant asked what all the fuss was about and was told she'd just served Prince Harry, all she said was 'You're joking'.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
