Book about Britain's late Princess Diana to outrage the French
Jul 6, 2006, 14:12 GMT
A book about the death of Britain's late Princess Diana is set to spark outrage across France.
The tome - entitled 'Lady Diana: The Criminal Investigation' - reportedly contains photos of the Paris crash scene, taken shortly after the British princess died in the l'Alma tunnel in 1997.
It is claimed, the book also contains diagrams of the horrific injuries the royal sustained in the accident, which also killed her boyfriend, Dodi Al-Fayed. So far the publishers have refused to print extracts from the book, but it is to be sold across the country later this month (07.06). Jean-Pierre Brunois, who owns the country's France Soir newspaper, said going over the details of the crash would be 'regrettable'. He was quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: 'It is utterly morbid to go back to her death in such detail. Raking over the death so many years later is a regrettable thing to do.' Brunois also expressed concerns for Princes William and Harry, Diana's sons from her marriage to the British heir, Prince Charles. He said: 'My heart goes out to the young princes because this really is totally unnecessary.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
