Britain's Prince William's World Cup shirt ban
Jun 14, 2006, 15:45 GMT
Britain's Prince William has been banned from wearing an England football shirt at Sandhurst Military Academy.
The young royal is an avid football fan and has been looking forward to supporting his country in the World Cup.
However, Army chiefs have reportedly put a stop to patriotic cadets flying England's nationalistic St George flags and donning football tops. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: 'The Commandant takes the view that it is a military school, not a holiday camp. 'The Academy has strict codes of dress and it prides itself on maintaining the highest standards, but it seems a little over the top to ban flags and football tops when the World Cup is on.' The 24-year-old prince is the president of England's Football Association and was in Germany for England's opening World Cup match against Paraguay on Saturday (10.06.06). After the game, William chatted to the victorious England squad in their dressing room and wished the players good luck in future games.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International

He's also the future King of Scotland, N Ireland and Wales, and Australia and the other commonwealth countries like Trinidad and Tobago - or should every country but England become independant because he obviously wants nothing to do with them
Is the poor guy going to become The King or Prisioner of UK? Jeeze - give the guy a break. I tell ya what; you guys keep hounding him and when he gets to the throne, you'll need to find a new job. Woww-zer!

He is the future King of England. He should pull rank and be able to wear what he wants!
