Daughters of Duchess of York to do work experience - in New York
Jun 9, 2006, 14:46 GMT
Britain's Prince Andrew's teenage daughters are to do work experience in New York - helping their mother, the Duchess of York.
The Duchess, Sarah Ferguson - who owns a home in the American capital - reportedly wants her daughters to come and join her in Manhattan during their school holidays.
The red-haired royal - who works as a spokeswoman for the Weigh-Watchers, a published author and is involved with various charities - says her daughters, Beatrice, 17, and 16-year-old Eugenie, would enjoy New York. She was quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: 'All the schools in Britain say you have to do work experience. 'And my girls...I don't want to share them with anyone else doing work experience - so they're coming to do work experience with us, being my assistants.' The 46-year-old aristocrat also added that the teenagers could be great help - because they are familiar with her work. She said: 'There are no better assistants than my girls, because they know me so well. 'My girls know I am devoted to education and eradicating hunger and poverty. That is my passion and my job.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
